Under the open sky, carried by sound and text, the audience meets a protagonist moving through a former land fill —Valbyparken. A place where the outer terrain shows no traces of its history.
The protagonist appears as a foreign figure in the landscape bearing traces of internalised lived events. Gradually her presence starts opening new spaces and time beyond the visible place itself.
From the finite to the infinite to the finite to the… is a choreographed walk, in which the two artists Margrét Sara Guðjónsdóttir and Marie Topp invite the audience into their shared fascination and long-standing artistic exploration of an alternative experience of time — a temporality that is felt rather than understood. The music is composed by British cellist and composer Lucy Railton and costume by Maria Ipsen.
