The Everyday Practice of Resistance is a choreographed examination of the concept of force. A  dancer is reworking the space with her body. She moves through a landscape of movement stations. At every station she exposes her body to a massive force effect and let the movement resonate in the body until a transformation occurs.  The transformation changes her presence in the space and makes the body appear sometimes sculptural sometimes mechanical. Explosive energy followed by total silence defines the choreography and makes space so that the movement and the force that generates it can resonate with the audience.

“No scientist has ever observed a force. Not even Newton saw gravity. Only force-effects are observable. “Force” is a word used to designate the repeatability or the iterability of effects. A “force” is the set of invisible, untouchable, self-renewing conditions according to which certain effects can habitually be expected to appear” –Brian Massumi: “Parables for the Virtual” 2002
